Pacific Truss/Homes In House Recycling Program
Recycling has always been an important part of Pacific Truss/Homes’ environmental policy.
But we’re continually looking for ways to do better.
Pacific Truss/Homes’ manufacturing processes significantly reduce the waste that normally occurs when building a new home – approximately 10 cubic yards of waste that would normally go in a landfill. And our recycling programs further enhance this.
Here’s a break down of what gets recycled where, from within the plant:
- Clean wood - Central Landscaping
- Dirty wood - Vancouver Island Salt Co.
- Steel - Steel Pacific
- Paper & Cardboard - Steel Pacific
- EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) - Plasti-Fab
- Lumber Wraps - Steel Pacific
- Wood/Plywood off cuts - reused in truss & wall assembly
