Pacific Truss welcomes two new (well, essentially new) Sales Reps to our Pacific Truss Sales Team!

  Dyrald Karroll started as a Sales Rep for Pacific Truss in 1993 and in 2001, for a change of pace, he went to work with David Mann at Mann Engineering where Pacific Truss has an ongoing relationship. Dyrald is a proud father of two, 15 year old son and 16 year old daughter, including four step children – 17, 19, 21 & 22 and a 1 1/2 year old grand daughter. Wow, that’ll keep him on his toes! We gladly welcome back Dyrald to Pacific Truss; Sales Rep for southern Vancouver Island. His extensive experience and industry knowledge will be no doubt an asset in working with his customers.

  Heather Nelson has worked for or with the company since 2001, starting out as a floor design tech and moving into truss design six months later. After pursuing some of her personal interests from 2007 to 2009, Heather returned to Pacific Truss on a contract basis for design as well as sales! We definitely enjoy Heather’s presence in the office with her outgoing and friendly personality; attributes I’m told by Heather were developed over time, “I was extremely shy and in my first employee evaluation I was told to reach out to others.  When I asked what this meant, my supervisor said, ‘You could start by saying hello to your coworkers.’”

  Heather adds, “My favorite projects were the intricate truss designs on the high end custom homes. I liked challenging designs so I started specializing in the commercial sector in the spring of 2003.  I learned to overcome my shyness coordinating with the teams on the larger projects.  I was referred to by my coworkers as a flibbertigibbet, which according to Wikipedia describes Jiminy Cricket, due to his ‘whimsical, chatty nature.’ In the fall of 2007 I started working on a part time contract basis to give me time to explore my interest in horse training and riding instruction.  I spent most of 2008 with the horses and love to help people. I returned on contract in the fall of 2009 as a floor and truss sales/designer.  I designed and sold to specific builders, primarily in residential construction. Currently I am expanding my customer base and am looking forward to meeting and working with new people.  I bring my experience in design and my enthusiasm for helping people to every project I work on.”
